Kassie's coat mark 3 have spent the last week knitting and unpicking and re knitting to make Krissy's fat lab a coat for winter she is such a fatty that we couldn't buy one to fit so I decided to knit her one but couldn't find a pattern to fit so had to invent it as I went along. I am pretty happy with the end result but Kassie isn't so sure wouldn't co-operate for a photo

Its quite a pleasant day here in Adelaide today am only wearing 1 pair of socks and 1 jumper have been rugged up like a polar bear in multiple layers since I got here and asking myself why I have chosen to visit in winter other than I needed a Nanna fix

Have finally finished Alana's cot quilt of course my photos are crap but it does look very nice, also made a bag out of the leftovers not sure what she will do with it thought, it might do for toys or something now I only have to make her a nursing pillow but keep putting it off because I hate putting zippers in

Only about 6 weeks to go before I am a great great granny
Not that I feel old enough to be a granny let alone a great great.

Had a lovely surprise last night Fred had organized a surprise birthday dinner with the kids that live here was really nice made me feel very special, had to mentally take back all the nasty things I was calling Fred under my breath on Tuesday night as I cooked dinner on my actual birthday cause I thought he was such a tight arse for not taking me out

Before & after

This is how I have spent the last couple of days, giving my camping chairs a new lease of life, the frames are really sturdy so decided to give them a sand down and fresh coat of varnish and make up some new covers. I should get another few years out of them. Went to buy new ones at the weekend, they were so flimsy in comparison to my old ones decided to fix my old faithfuls up instead of buying new ones.
Now we just have to keep fingers crossed the weather picks up by Thursday when we head off to Iluka for a weeks camping, its raining here at the moment and forecast for the weekend doesn't look promising but hay it wouldn't be Easter if we weren't camping in the rain.

Hope the Easter Bunny finds you all and a safe and Happy Easter to everyone

I have just spent a wonderful week showing my cousin David and his wife Pat around the Tweed and rediscovering the area for myself. I usually just send my visitors off to explore by themselves but with David and Pat, Fred and I decided to take them and we had a wonderful time going places we hadn't been to in years and made some great discoveries, Currumbin Sanctuary being one of them it is so much bigger and better than the last time we were there and made all the more enjoyable watching my pommie cousins experience the aussie way of life. Just wish I had taken better photos.
I said goodbye to them this morning, they are picking up their daughter Kathryn from Brisbane airport and then making their way to Townsville before visiting the Batlowites and then back to England

Don't you hate grey drizzly afternoons when you have a million things you should be doing and don't feel like doing any of them. Was playing around just looking at my photos and decided to share some taken at my oldest stepsons wedding last Saturday. Had a little 'foobah' and have the photos in wrong order intended to start with the happy couple but have uploaded in the wrong order

A few more layouts to share will probably be my last for a while as the sun is finally shining so it will be back to the Markets this weekend and then I will be chained to the sewing machine again but it has been lovely to do a bit of scrapping again. Should make it my new years resolution to make time every week to scrap a page or two
