Army tank outside Woodford Information Centre
First
stop was Woodford information centre ,was staffed by 2 really
friendly and helpful volunteers who gave us loads of great
information.
Drove
to Bellthorpe State Forest to the Stony Creek Swimming Hole. Would be
a great place to visit in summer and swim.
Then
back thru Woodford to the Mt Mee section of D'Aguilar National Park.
Had
lunch in the Gantry Picnic Area, so called because of the remains of
a gantry shed from earlier days when this area was milled for the
timber.
Had
2 Kookaburras and 3 Magpies watch every mouthful we ate then did the
Piccabeen Walk which winds thru the forest.

In
the car and onto Falls lookout and Bull Falls just a short walk where
you look down on a small waterfall. There were a group of rangers
doing maintenance on the lookout platform so had a nice little chat
before back in the car to Neuraun Creek Drive and Mill Rainforest
Walk this was a nice meander thru forest and creek.

in the car and onto Rocky Hole this would also be a great place to
visit in summer to swim.

Them
home via Delaney Creek. Was a lovely day even though get got a little
worried on the way out that we may have taken the wrong road but as
usual we were just too anxious.
