Bribie Island

Decided to do a walk around Bribie Island after talking to the lady who runs the caravan park telling us what a nice walk it is.

We parked in the first car park after leaving the bridge crossing Pumicestone Passage then walked along the foreshore crossing Shirley Creek Bridge stopped numerous times to read the historic markers telling of the history of Bribie not to mention Fred has to chat to every fisherman we pass.

Arrived at the jetty which was built in 1911 which was really important as everyone came to Bribie by boat before the bridge before the bridge was built and opened in 1963.

Then visited the Museum where we spent a very enjoyable hour learning about the  early history of the island before stopping for a coffee and retracing our steps.

There was also another nice walk on the other side of the bridge which we will do if we ever return for another holiday here.
