Hervey Bay

Hi has been a couple of weeks and quite a few kilometers since last post.
We spent a week at Inskip Point which is a State Recreation Park near Rainbow Beach have spent a week trying to upload a blog about that week with photos which for some reason won't load so have given up and am moving on to our next stop which was at Hervey Bay.

We had a lovely week there the main reason for visit was to catch up with friends from Lismore and Tweed who have moved to Hervey to live.
It was great to see them they have built a house out of shipping containers which we were anxious to see as we couldn't imagine what it would be like, much to our surprise it looked like a normal house.

Didn't do much tourist wise as we have been to Hervey 4 times before and have seen and done most things on offer

We did walk to the end of the pier at Urangan which is well known because it is a kilometer long it took us longer than most to walk as Fred stops to chat with every person fishing.

We also had a wander around the Botanic Gardens just because we could.

On our last Sunday John, Murray and Robina to us out on Johns boat, we went over to Fraser Island and explored some creeks and beaches that had abandoned boat wreaks and jettys.

Then some fishing until the wind came up and then we crossed back to the mainland and went up the river and fished and prawned not very successfully as we only caught 5 fish and 1 lonely prawn.
