We spent a week in the Yeppoon Area stayed at the Island View Caravan Park, it was the same park we stayed last time we came this way about 15 years ago and hasn't changed very much at all. Still nice and shady with friendly people, only this time there was only 1 peacock last time there they had 8 very noisey ones.
Emu Park had chaged very little the Singing Ship was the same just a couple of new shops
Yeppoon on the other hand is much much bigger and busier with all the major supermarkets and associated shops
Went for a drive up to Byfield National and State Parks was a lovely drive, unfortunately part of it was closed for repair work from the cyclonic weather they had earlier in the year so were only able to do one small walk in Water Park Creek Area and it was just a nice easy amble around the forest along the creek.
We didn't go out into the beach area as the sand was extremely soft and as we were alone and if we had gotten bogged we would have been in trouble and Fred is not as young and as adventurious as in the past and won't take risks.
Overall an enjoyable week.
